As a service fraternity, Beta Iota regularly works with various non-profits in the Greater New York City area to serve our campus, community, and nation. Take a look at some of the service organizations we work with throughout the academic year!
The Bowery Mission is a results-orientated organization focused on helping men, women, and children caught in the cycles of poverty, hopelessness, and dependencies of many kinds in the New York metro area.
As a chapter, our brothers and pledges volunteer every semester at the Bowery Mission to help with meal prep and food service during the weekdays and weekends.
Since 1877, The Fresh Air Fund has worked to provided life-changing summer experiences for thousands of children from New York City’s underserved communities.
This past semester, our pledges participated in one of these experiences early on in the spring semester to bring some smiles to local kids.
Citymeals on Wheels delivers over 2 million meals to more than 18,000 homebound elderly New Yorkers across the five boroughs to provide a lifeline of nourishment and human companionship.
Each semester, our brothers and pledges deliver meals to elderly families across the Bronx in hopes that we can brighten their day.

Bike MS is the largest fundraising bike series in the world. Each year, approximately 75,000 cyclists in more than 6,000 teams ride together to improve the lives of those with MS across the world.
To support such a cause, our members help set up the event in the streets of NYC to make the experience more enjoyable for all its participants.
