What is Alpha Phi Omega?

Alpha Phi Omega (APO) is a service fraternity dedicated to the principles of leadership, friendship and service.

Who can join?

Anyone! APO is a co-ed fraternity since 1976 open to those who demonstrate the values of friendship, leadership, and the spirit of service.

What do brothers do?

In addition to service, we place an emphasis on brotherhood. Throughout the semester we plan several fellowship events to build friendship. This is not limited to just NYU as we also plan interchapter events to meet brothers from a different chapter. 

When was APO founded?

APO was founded on December 16th, 1925 at Lafayette College Easton, Pennsylvania.

How is APO different?

Brothers not only service, but they also serve alongside people who have become their friends. APO also emphasizes leadership development which doesn't exist in other organizations.

How can I join?

Swing by during rush week to see if APO is a good for you!! Rush is a two week process that takes place in the first few weeks of the fall and spring semester. Check out the recruitment page or our Facebook and Instagram for updates.
